The Gurkha Campaign For Justice

By Paul Duxbury | Oct 18, 2008

As those of you who read my blog on a regular basis will know I am a great believer in using the internet for good and to try to make a difference in the world. It’s rare that I write about a cause on this particular blog but this morning a friend of mine on Twitter (John Taylor) shared something which has prompted me to action. It just goes to show the power of Twitter and perhaps that I should watch more Television – I might have been more aware of this then!

Without any doubt Britain has had no greater friends than the Gurkhas. They have loyally served all across the world in the defence of our Country for nearly 200 years. Over 45,000 gave their lives in the defence of freedom and our nation in the two World Wars as part of the British Army. They are still fighting in the British Army today. They need our support as Joanna Lumley so eloquently explains in the video below.

Please sign up for the petition today and if you are able to download the petition form and get friends, relatives and work colleagues to sign it.
